After an enriching experience in Pininfarina, a design studio specialized in luxury products, Mauro Amoruso decided to start working as a Social designer. Since 2008, he had been designing concepts to improve the economic and socio-cultural conditions of the human beings in smaller or bigger communities, considering the impact on their environment. Collaborating with the members of these communities, Mauro Amoruso Design Studio use a "Cooperative Design" approach to create services and products efficiently. Several projects based on this design philosophy have been awarded in competitions and included in exhibitions in Europe and in the United States.
